Fund Development Planning

The first step in our relationship is to create a fund development plan. During this phase, we will conduct analytical interviews with leadership, review current programs and services, and create new programs and services if necessary. Using this information, we will prepare a draft report that outlines fund development objectives for current and new programs, fund development opportunities, the adequacy of present staff and systems to realize those opportunities, and a clearly defined timeline with achievable goals.

Grant Specific Research

The Ramsay Group will conduct extensive analysis and research to ensure that grants meet the criteria of suitability and sustainability. This includes:

• Identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges related to implementing and administering specific grants.
• Identifying potential partnerships with public/private organizations or non-profits to leverage resources and grant funding.
• Working independently as much as possible to minimize the impact on staff resources during the grant research process, while still conducting thorough research.

Grant Writing and Submission

The Ramsay Group (TRG) will assist our clients by drafting and submitting complete grant applications to appropriate agencies. We will ensure that final grant applications are submitted in a format consistent with the rules and regulations outlined in procedural guidelines. TRG will also provide grant advocacy by communicating regularly with targeted funding sources during pre- and post-submission periods, emphasizing the importance of funding your programs. This includes:

• Understanding and adhering to the timelines and conditions necessary for a successful grant application.
• Writing the grant application, which will be reviewed and approved by our staff before forwarding it to the awarding agency.
• Monitoring and following up on the application during the review process.

We have developed a grant management capacity assessment to help non-profits evaluate their capabilities and create a plan for obtaining sustainable grant funding. TRG will assist in reviewing current program grants and creating strategies to obtain sustainable funding beyond the program period.
